Patient Guidance on Using Insurance
We advise you to confirm the scope of your cover directly with your insurer in advance.
Referral Requirements:
Many insurers require a referral from your GP or another consultant for authorisation. Please check with your provider in advance. Referral letters can be emailed to our administrative team or brought to your appointment.
Pre-Authorisation:
Prior to your consultation or procedure, please obtain a pre-authorisation code and have your policy or membership number available. These are essential for claim processing.
Policy Coverage & Exclusions:
Coverage varies depending on your policy. Some plans may include:
1. An excess you must pay directly.
2. Specific exclusions (e.g. fertility diagnostics, scanning, or psychosexual medicine).
3. Fee caps on consultations or surgery.
Billing Process
- For fee-assured insurers, our billing is aligned with your insurer’s fee schedule
- If your policy includes an excess or if a shortfall applies, this will be clearly communicated to you in advance.
- For services not covered by insurance, a detailed self-pay quote will be provided before proceeding.
